This process was created Gustave Le Gray in 1850 and patented by Frederick Scott Archer in 1851.  Its use was considered the first widely available photographic process to the public.  It was the standard process until the 1880s when it was replaced by dry plate photography.

The wet plate process requires a tremendous amount of light to produce an image and is only able to be done under "Near UV" spectrum of light.  For this even we will be utilizing a full spectrum UV LED panel.  Each exposure will be approximately 3 seconds long.

We will be producing "Mini" tin types for this event.   We are able to fit 2 people in frame per session.  All plates will be ready for pickup a week following the event from Spark Makerspace.

Each exposure will be $60.  $15 of each booking will go directly to Spark Makerspace.
